Terry Strongin
Terry Strongin founded Bartizan Capital to put an unusually broad base of experience to work from an elevated vantage point.
Terry’s experience spans more than three decades, multiple market cycles, and nearly every stage of the real estate investment process. He has originated and structured CMBS and high-yield loans, acquired distressed debt and non-performing loan portfolios, advised on their valuation and disposition, entitled land, owned assets as a principal, and raised private capital—including serving as a senior executive of a public REIT. The result is an investment perspective shaped across the capital structure and through the full life cycle of a transaction, with experience evaluating opportunities, structuring around risk, and carrying decisions through execution.
That breadth shapes how the firm sees opportunity today, and it reflects a long-standing instinct for situations that become institutional only after early participants have already acted. It is what orients Bartizan Capital toward asset repositioning, special situations, development, and property conversions, the areas where the market's recognition tends to lag the underlying shift in demand.
